Another month, another employee highlight! This time, we’re highlighting the amazing Nykole, one of our Lodging Supervisors!
Nykole has been with Playful Pups Retreat for a year and three months. Her favorite part of the job is by far the dogs! Spending time getting to know them, making them feel comfortable, and watching them grow and thrive. Nykole was born in New Jersey and grew up all over, including Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, the Poconos, Delaware, and Florida. She then moved to Lancaster County as an adult!
Nykole has 5 siberian huskies, a chihuahua/keeshond mix, two bunnies, and some fish! Over the years, she has had ferrets, guinea pigs, beardies, a chinese water dragon, nile monitor, gerbils, rats, and cats. A real animal connoisseur! When it comes to dogs, Nykole said she’ll take one of everything! She does love a good challenge, so she typically ends up with the breeds that aren’t the “easiest”. In her free time, Nykole loves to go horseback riding with her friend and kids, dog training, learning, attending her kids’ games and extracurricular activities, dancing, music, hiking, going on adventures, and so much more! She loves variety and trying new things, and enjoying life and all it has to offer!
Nykole has a few mottos, including ‘Sometimes you’re flush and sometimes you’re bust, and when you’re up, it’s never as good as it seems, and when you’re down, you never think you’ll be up again, but life goes on’ and ‘Life is like a disco, no matter how the music changes, you just keep dancing.’
Nykole is such a valuable member of our team, and such a ray of positivity here! We are so thankful for her and everything she does for both our dogs and our staff. Nykole, we are so glad you are part of this PPR family!
